New and Exciting Disney Updates!

Disney parks are always expanding to enhance the magic for families of all sizes.  Well, they are at it again!  Here are some of the exciting updates to come in the near future:

A long time ago in a galaxy not so far away, Disney Imagineers dreamed about bringing Star Wars to the parks.  This is now becoming a reality.  Star Wars, Galaxy’s Edge, will be opening in Disneyland and Walt Disney World in 2019.  The lands are set in a remote trading port on the edge of wild space.  You’ll find yourself in the middle of the action either piloting the Millennium Falcon or riding aboard the Star Destroyer.  And what would Star Wars be without a local cantina?  Here they’ll be serving up unique drink concoctions including blue milk! Disney World Outside The Theme Parks

In my last blog, I told you about some exciting things that you could do after dark in the parks.  Today, I want to share some activities that you can enjoy outside of the Walt Disney World theme parks.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve always said that I’m going to visit the Walt Disney World Resort and not buy any park passes.  I just want to relax, visit the resorts, eat and shop!  Most people just look at me like I have 3 eyes!  But, there are a number of things to do without visiting the parks. Disney’s Night of Joy and More Fall Events

Disney’s Night of Joy concerts will be held on September 9 and 10 this year! This fantastic contemporary music festival features performances by Christian superstars in rock, pop, and gospel music.

In the years past it’s been held at the Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. For the second year in a row, it’s being held at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World® Resort. I attended this concert last year and loved it!!! With ample
seating at both indoor and outdoor venues,  you can sit back and enjoy the music or “get up and dance” to the artists.  This year’s line up includes:

  • Sept. 8 – MercyMe, TobyMac, Natalie Grant, Danny Gokey, Matt Maher, Colton Dixon, Rend Collective, Zach Williams
  • Sept. 9 – Amy Grant, Steven Curtis Chapman, Kirk Franklin, Jordan Feliz, Crowder, Jeremy Camp, Tye Tribbett

Note: Artists subject to change without notice. Tickets prices have not been announced yet. Continue reading Disney’s Night of Joy and More Fall Events
