In the words of Walt Disney, “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.” I believe this is true for Walt Disney World as well. And in the past few days, that sentiment has proved true once again with the big announcements about some fun new things on the horizon for both parks. And, while some folks will feel sadness because this will mean change, and even removal, of some beloved areas of both parks… remember that this is truly part of Walt Disney’s dream. So let’s have a look at some of the big happenings on the horizon of a ‘great big beautiful tomorrow’. Continue reading Big Happenings At Walt Disney World and Disneyland!

The Disneyland history is interesting. Disneyland Resort is where the Disney theme park magic starts. Walt Disney said, “Disneyland is the star, everything else is in the supporting role.” I wonder if he envisioned the Disneyland Resort of today. There are three Disneyland Resort Hotels to choose from. They are all walking distance to each other. They are also walking distance to California Adventure theme park and Disneyland theme park. In between the two theme parks is the Downtown Disney District. It is a thriving area. You will find magical Disney fun around every corner. Continue reading Disneyland History and Discounted Rate
The Disney news this morning reports a new rule goes in affect tomorrow. Guests age 14 or younger must be accompanied by a guest age 14 or older to enter any domestic Disney theme park. This will include all water parks. It will also include DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park. DisneyQuest issues are the driving force behind this new rule. Children were often dropped off there to enjoy the experiences while their parents shopped elsewhere. Walt Disney Parks and Resorts regularly reviews their rules. In doing so they realized they had the opportunity to address this issue. There never was an actual rule in place regarding this. Now there is.
The locations included in this are in the United States only. At Disneyland Resort the Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will follow this rule. In Walt Disney World all the theme parks will follow this rule. That will include Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The water parks will also follow this new rule. Those include Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Last and certainly not least is DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park. This rule will be strictly enforced there as well. There is no word yet on what type of ID will be required. There is Disney news from Disneyland this week. Disney’s California Adventure park was named Park of the Year! This coveted Golden Ticket Award was given by the magazine Amusement Today. The best of the best in the amusement industry receive this honor. It is not surprising that California Adventure achieved this. Disney has worked very hard over a four year time period to dress up Disneyland Resort. California Adventure had a huge makeover. Disney added new areas to that theme park. There are new attractions and shows, too. I remember visiting it in 2008. I just did not feel the magic. I recall there was way to much asphalt. Disney has changed all of that. I am excited to see it in person! Congratulations to Disney on a job well done! Continue reading Disney News ~ Disney Parks Excitement!
