A Walt Disney World vacation is more than just a vacation. It is a journey into our personal child’s mind. It does not matter how many birthday candles we have blown out in our lifetime…the minute we enter the property, passing under the “Walt Disney World” arch, we become ageless. Is it the air, the water, the music? Oh yes indeed, all of that and so much more!
Staying on property at the Walt Disney World resort of your choice is the best way to leave the world behind and LIVE the dream. And now, YOU can stay, play and be a part of the story as well! Continue reading Stay, Play and Be a Part of the Story In a Walt Disney Resort Story Room
This past month, I was preparing to travel to Disney World and to hop on a short Disney Cruise. I often experience nerves right before a trip. I asked myself, “Why does this happens to me?” I am always VERY excited to go to Disney World. It’s not like I haven’t done it a few dozen times. Then, it hit me…it’s all the “unknowns” about things like airport security and other aspects of the travel that causes my anxiousness. I’m hoping that this article can help transform travel jitters into Disney excitement by sharing a few of the ins and outs I discovered on my last Disney adventure.
For me, the most difficult part of travel is all of the TSA regulations and I discovered it’s really a lot easier than it sounds. Continue reading Disney Turns Travel Anxiety into Travel Excitement!
In my lifelong quest to try as many Disney resorts as possible, I had the opportunity to stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort a short while back. It’s colorful buildings and white sand beaches were just beckoning me to explore them. And what an adventure it was. We even found some rooms perfect for a weary pirate along the way!
Upon arrival at the lobby of the Customs House, I was a little shocked by the number of folks in the check in line. However, we had used Disney’s Online Check In Service, so I got to bypass that line and go straight to the special window where those who have done online check in receive their welcome packets and keys to the world. We were in and out of the lobby in a flash! Our room was located in Jamaica. What a fantastic location! Continue reading A Beachy Disney Time at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Disney Cruise Line’s sister ships Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy are just like real life identical twins. Exactly the same on the outside, but different on the inside, two fabulous ships with unique characteristics that set them apart.
Disney Imagineers realized the need to create a unique experience for Disney guests sailing both ships. They set both ships atrium designs in the same era, yet in a different style. Disney Dream is art deco while Disney Fantasy is art nouveau. Similar, yet different! Continue reading “Animation Magic” in Fantasy’s Animator’s Palate is Disney Magic at It’s Best!
Once upon a time, Donald Duck’s nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie, dreamed up a fantastic water coaster in their madcap AquaLab. It was a water driven ride that blasted raft riding guests through translucent tubes out over the sea and all over the upper reaches of the Disney Fantasy. As the story goes, Uncle Donald was the first to test out the flume ride before it was completely finished. He flew out of the open pipeline and right into the ship’s forward funnel. His image is forever immortalized in 3-D with his rear extremities protruding out of the stack where he landed. Continue reading AquaDuck On The Disney Fantasy Is A Blast
What is the first thing you think of when you think of a cruise? FOOD! Unlimited quantities of food. When ever I told someone I was going on a Disney Cruise, they would say, “No dieting on a cruise ship! You can eat 24 hours if you want! Make sure you get your fill!” And, of course, a Disney Cruise provides exactly that. Thus, this article is NOT about making wise food choices, but all about making DARING food choices! Continue reading Daring Feats of Eats on The Disney Fantasy Cruise!
Have you ever wondered if you need to rent a car when headed to Disney World? Well, this is one of the most asked questions by my clients. Orlando highways and byways can be a bit intimidating, and a cab just isn’t warm and welcoming. Of course, you could opt for a personal driver, if you don’t mind spending the extra money.
I say, “Save the cash for important things like Mickey Ears and Princess crowns and opt for Magical Express!” This is an awesome, free (yes…I said free!) service offered by Disney. Continue reading Magical Express at Disney World
For those of us thinking “Spring” this time of year, we can thank the Walt Disney World resort for bringing it to us early in the form of the Epcot 19th International Flower & Garden Festival which opens tomorrow, March 7, 2012. The Festival will run through May 20th, the very peak of spring! You can read in detail all about the Flower and Garden Festival here. And, if that’s not enough to excite you, those clever folks at Disney have added yet another dimension of fun to this years’ festival.
Brand new for 2012, Disney has created an interactive element to help you get more out of this year’s Flower & Garden Festival. You will be able to use your smartphone to access QR (Quick Response) codes to get more information regarding displays and also access a mobile site which contains everything you need to know about the festival.
Now here is where I go geeky on you to tell you little about QR codes. Continue reading Get Your Geek On at the Epcot Flower & Garden Festival
Disney World is well known for it’s incredible vacation magic. In recent years, it’s also become a haven for running enthusiasts. Throughout the year, RunDisney features several running events, all with different experiences and varying in length. I am not a runner, myself, but I can just imagine the feeling of my feet hitting the pavement and looking at the beautiful scenery of the Disney World parks.
In January, the year kicks off with the Marathon Weekend. The three days consist of several events. The first event is the Family 5 K Run on Friday evening. This race takes participants through Epcot. Saturday morning, the 1/2 Marathon begins outside of Epcot, runs up to Magic Kingdom, back to Epcot through Future World. Continue reading Running Toward Disney – Disney Marathons!
