I want you to think about the upcoming Christmas holiday. I know it’s August and it’s HOT out, but for just for a minute, think snow and cooler temps. Now picture yourself at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park, in front of Cinderella’s castle. Imagine it’s lit up in holiday lights. It will truly take your breath away! While “snow” is softly falling on Main St. USA and Christmas music is playing in the background. Oh and you’re drinking your hot chocolate and eating a sugar cookie or two, while watching Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. All of this is followed by a special fireworks show not to be missed! Since the characters are dressed in their best holiday attire, imagine yourself in your “Goofy” holiday sweater! The question has been brought up to me lots and lots of times through my years as a Disney Specializing Travel Agent: With everything available online, why would I need a travel agent? And, to be honest, I can completely understand that question and why it would be asked when we live in a world where infinite information is available right at your fingertips. But there are some things you just can’t get online. One of the biggest of those is experience. Truly, it’s very hard to plan something as entailed as a Disney vacation without experience. The basics may be there, but all the details that can and will make your vacation truly magical will be lacking. Do you remember that old book with the line in it that goes, ‘lions and tigers and bears, oh my!’? Well in the world of Disney vacation planning, it’s more like, ‘dining and magic bands and fastpasses, oh my!’. And that’s only the tip of the Disney iceberg! Even though we’ve just ushered in Spring, Disney World released their holiday party dates. The Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are all being planned for our fall and winter enjoyment. I’ve attend both, over the years, and I plan to go back! Who doesn’t love a good party, right? Disney knows how to do them the best!
If you’ve never been to the MNSSHP, you’ve been missing out on some great fun! This year, you will have 29 chances to enjoy the excitement! Some of the festivities include the Boo To You parade, Trick or Treating throughout the Magic Kingdom and Happy Hallowishes Fireworks. They are also bringing back “Hocus Pocus Villian Spelltacular,” which debut last year. The Sanderson sister conjured up some magic with their new friends, the Disney Villains. I can’t wait to see what frightening adventure Winifred, Mary and Sarah can find this Halloween season! Continue reading Disney World Releases Party Dates!
What are the beliefs that hold you back from planning a Disney destination vacation? I may be able to fact check them for you. As a travel agent specializing in Disney destinations, I spend a lot of my time promoting myself, my business, and, of course, my love of all things Disney. One way I do this is by setting up a booth at local craft fairs, vendor shows, etc. I absolutely LOVE doing this because I get to meet new people in my own area and discover a love of Disney in lots of folks that I already knew. But, at each and every show, I hear many of the same things in regard to Disney World and why someone WOULDN’T go. Now, if you truly aren’t a “Disney person”–don’t like magical fun, or whatever–then so be it. It seems a sad way to live if you ask me, but I can accept that. But if your reasons don’t, in reality, hold water, then I want to be the one to help dispel those thoughts and open up a whole new world of possibilities for you. I seem to have the same 2 pop up over and over again, so those are the 2 will focus on. Let’s hop right to it, shall we? Continue reading Dispelling Some Walt Disney World Myths!
Disney’s 2016 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival dates are announced! This popular event kicks off Sept. 14 and runs through Nov. 14…that means almost two additional weeks of deliciousness, food fun, culinary events, celebrity chefs, seminars, music concerts.
I have been to Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival many, many times over the years. We went last Fall, and we visited it on the last weekend. Boy, talk about crowded! I realized many local folks come out to enjoy this event. So if you are going, just plan on a “maybe”crowd. Oh and go hungry! Continue reading Disney’s Epcot 2016 Food and Wine Event
