In my last blog, I told you about some exciting things that you could do after dark in the parks. Today, I want to share some activities that you can enjoy outside of the Walt Disney World theme parks.
Over the past 20 years, I’ve always said that I’m going to visit the Walt Disney World Resort and not buy any park passes. I just want to relax, visit the resorts, eat and shop! Disney’s Night of Joy concerts will be held on September 9 and 10 this year! This fantastic contemporary music festival features performances by Christian superstars in rock, pop, and gospel music.
In the years past it’s been held at the Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. For the second year in a row, it’s being held at ESPN Wide World of Sports at Walt Disney World® Resort. I attended this concert last year and loved it!!! With ample
seating at both indoor and outdoor venues, you can sit back and enjoy the music or “get up and dance” to the artists. This year’s line up includes:
- Sept. 8 – MercyMe, TobyMac, Natalie Grant, Danny Gokey, Matt Maher, Colton Dixon, Rend Collective, Zach Williams
- Sept. 9 – Amy Grant, Steven Curtis Chapman, Kirk Franklin, Jordan Feliz, Crowder, Jeremy Camp, Tye Tribbett
Note: Artists subject to change without notice. Tickets prices have not been announced yet. Continue reading Disney’s Night of Joy and More Fall Events

I want you to think about the upcoming Christmas holiday. I know it’s August and it’s HOT out, but for just for a minute, think snow and cooler temps. Now picture yourself at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park, in front of Cinderella’s castle. Imagine it’s lit up in holiday lights. It will truly take your breath away! While “snow” is softly falling on Main St. USA and Christmas music is playing in the background. Oh and you’re drinking your hot chocolate and eating a sugar cookie or two, while watching Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. All of this is followed by a special fireworks show not to be missed! Since the characters are dressed in their best holiday attire, imagine yourself in your “Goofy” holiday sweater!
