Looking for a different way to scare up some Disney fun this Halloween? Look no further than a Disney Cruise this year! The Halloween celebrations are going to be as spook-tacular as they are at the theme parks. From Disney characters in costume and frightfully fun Disney movies to haunted parties on deck and themed menu items like Witches Brew, Disney Cruise ships will be bewitched for Halloween. It’s time to eat, drink and be scary!
During late October, all Disney cruise ships transform into a ghoulish wonderland filled with hair-raising activities. There are special decorations, unique menu items in the restaurants, and themed dance parties on deck. The Halloween fun happens on a special day during every voyage setting sail in October.
As the saying goes, “Everything is bigger in Texas!” If that’s true, I can’t wait to see the excitement of the Lone Star State when the Disney Magic arrives in Galveston in September. Back in March of 2012 I told you all about the itinerary for cruises departing from the Port of Galveston. You can read about them here.
Captain Mickey already received a Texas-sized welcome when he visited to get ready for the ship’s arrival. Remember all the excitement when the Disney Magic sailed into New York earlier this year? I’m expecting an even bigger greeting from Texans in September! And, can you imagine how the Disney Magic will show it’s love for Texas?! Continue reading Texas Sized Disney Magic On Galveston Island
On July 30, 1998, the Disney Cruise Line launched the Disney Magic. It was to be the first ship in the best cruise line in the world. Today, Disney Cruise Line boasts 4 of the most beautiful ships to sail the seas with dozens of itineraries and their own private island, Castaway Cay. And, in the spirit of the Disney theme parks, Disney Cruise Line is much more than just another cruise. Disney designed these ship to be innovative, offering unique facilities and programs, each with Disney’s hallmark, first-class service. While a vacation to a Disney theme park is wonderful, a Disney cruise will give you pause to slow down and absorb everything around you. You will learn things you never knew you wanted to know!
Disney Cruise Line ranks as one of my most favorite Disney vacation experiences. I love the feel of the ships, and I love how Disney intertwines Disney characters in with a luxury cruise vacation. They announced recently that more than a dozen Pixar characters, including Mr. Incredible, Remy, Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear, will be sailing on the Disney Wonder! The Pixar character experience will be exclusive to the California Coast 7-Night Sailings; September 16, 23, 30 and October 7. This will be the first time ever that Pixar characters have been out and about on a Disney ship to meet guests. I bet they are pretty excited about meeting us!
