I just returned from a Disney vacation. We went to Walt Disney World! Our stay at Disney’s Polynesian Resort was very enjoyable. The thrill of driving under the Magic Kingdom sign on the Magical Express bus was wonderful to feel. That giddy Disney magic had me smiling and happy! As our Disney vacation progressed the Disney magic was alive and well at every turn. Are you interested in traveling to Walt Disney World when crowds are low? If you plan your Disney vacation for early to mid September you will love it. Make sure you travel before the Food and Wine Festival begins in Epcot. The crowd level is low. This makes attractions easier to experience. Many attractions had stand by wait times listed under 30 minutes. In fact, Under the Sea, Journey of the Little Mermaid had a 20 minute stand by wait time the first time we visited it!
Disney Vacation ~ Making My Own Magic!
I had some fun with a little friend of mine while I was on my vacation. I have a Vinylmation AquaDuck from the Disney Cruise Line Fantasy. My friend AquaDuck had a blast on this trip! I took pictures of him in lots of interesting places. He played with the Streetmosphere police officer at Hollywood Studios. The officer called to us from across the street. He saw me holding AquaDuck up for a picture. He said he had a few questions for the duck. It was pretty funny to watch. I really felt like the low crowd level was conducive to magical occasions like this.
My husband and I posed AquaDuck in lots of places. He loved visiting Spaceship Earth. AquaDuck added magic to our fun. It was so whimsical to have him along. I found that Disney cast members enjoyed it, too. I love how I could pretend AquaDuck was ‘real’ when he was posing. I might be 56, but the child in me is alive and well when I am in Walt Disney World.
Disney Vacation – Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
If you visit Walt Disney World in mid September you can experience Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party with lower crowds. Plan to go during the week. The weekend nights can get pretty crowded even in mid September. The party is lots of fun! You can dress in costume if you want. I dressed up as a travel agent! There are two Boo to You! parades at the Halloween Party. This parade is so much fun. You will see characters from all the attractions in Magic Kingdom. We skip the first parade and ride all the rides. Everything is always a walk on that way! If you see a line at an attraction make sure and check it. Sometimes the line you see is for trick or treaters. After everyone sees the first parade, they will go and ride the rides. That is when you can find a spot for the second parade. You will find really good spots in Frontierland.
I really enjoyed this Disney vacation. September is a favorite time of mine to travel. I don’t mind the inevitable daily rain storm. It is Disney happy rain. I love the low crowd levels. The discounts are plentiful with free dining and resort discounts. It is win, win, win and fun, fun, fun!
