The Disney Cruise Line Fantasy; what can I say? I am in love with this ship! It is a Disney Fantasy cruise experience. When I sailed on The Disney Dream I thought she was the most amazing ship ever; a Dream Cruise. How could Disney Cruise Line imagineers plus that? I was filled with anticipation to see the different things that Disney did to re-imagine what I perceived as the perfect cruise experience I had on the Dream. Disney imagineers are all about creating themed experiences, and all I could imagine was if they made the Dream ship a Dream cruise, what absolute Disney fantasy I would experience on the Disney Fantasy. I was not disappointed, by any means. After all the Disney vacation experiences I have had, I still found myself with the jaw dropping awe, as I explored the Disney Fantasy. So, what impressed me most? That would be a tough question, because I found myself saying several times, “I think this is my favorite part of the ship.” Here are a couple of Disney Fantasy additions that impressed me.
One of the very first places I explored on the ship was Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique; a little girl’s Disney Fantasy. The princesses that sail on the Disney Fantasy have a treat in store for them at the boutique, first available at Walt Disney World in Downtown Disney. The special moments they will share when the meet so many Disney princesses on the Disney Fantasy; amazing. Try to make your boutique appointment for the last day of your cruise, because that is when all the Disney characters are out in the ship atrium in the evening to say farewell. Moms and dads will LOVE the photos opportunities, all in one place, for their newly crowned princess.
Disney added some extra Disney fantasy relaxation options to the adult area on the Disney Fantasy. They added two new pools! The adult areas can provide a peaceful escape, and it is amazing how the noise just disappears when you round the corner to that area. Now, there is a small wading pool near one of the lounges; you can relax there, sitting on the edge with your feet in the water and cool off, while enjoying a refreshing cocktail.
My favorite new pool is Satellite Falls Pool. This is all the way forward, on deck 12, way up by the observation deck where everyone gathers when the ship set sails. This spot is set up with an area that is shaded, and it is probably the quietest spot on the ship. Sshh, don’t tell anyone. It is the perfect spot to catch a nap without worrying about getting a sunburn.
I loved the Disney Fantasy Preview Cruise! Walt Disney would be proud of Disney Cruise Line, and would certainly enjoy a stroll on her decks. If you’d like to read more of my cruise experience you can start with The Disney Fantasy Preview Cruise! It’s a Small World, and read through all three articles. I promise families of all kinds will find their fantasy on the Disney Cruise Line Disney Fantasy!
